Today my friend Frank DeMarco posted a part of one of his TGU transcripts he titled, Exercises for Spiritual Advancement where the Guys give three good exercises we can all do. Frank has been bring through information from his “Guys Upstairs” – his guides and that greater part of himself – for years and the information is truly wonderful. Worth your time I think.

Bob Monroe, founder of the Monroe Institute and author of three books on his explorations of the “out there” was a remarkable man. I had the chance to meet Bob when I attended my first program at the Monroe Institute, The Gateway Voyage in 1991. During the program Bob came in one evening and spoke with us for about an hour and answered questions. He still shows up in my journeys and dreams from time-to-time, although I’ve never remembered to talk with him on those occasions. Typically he just appears or walks through and gives me his knowing smile and a wink.
My friend, Frank DeMarco sent me a link to a blog where someone had posted a partial transcript of an interview with Bob where he gives his perspective on why we are here and why we choose to incarnate.
I don’t get around to my favorite blogs as often as I should with my recent flurry of consulting . My friend Brightfeather, has a blog called this time ~ this space and has a lot of great posts. In Paradox Of Our Age, she posted a wonderful quote from the 14th Dali Lama that will make you think.
The other day while going through some of my books, I came upon The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events by Jane Roberts (Seth) and couldn’t help reading it again.
Beginning in late 1963 Jane started to receive messages from a male entity who identified himself as Seth. Jane would sit and go into a trance (altered-state of consciousness) and in would come Seth. Jane’s husband, Robert Butts, would sit and write down all that Seth said verbatim using a form of short-hand he had developed. Later they would type the sessions up and eventually a portion of it ended up published in books. There wasn’t much editing for Jane and Robert to do since Seth went chapter by chapter and section by section, and would even indicate punctuation and where he wanted emphasis. Basically Seth dictated it in finished form. As I understand it, there is a mountain of material that has still never been published.
I’ve read The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events several times, as I have many of the Seth books. I first became aware of Jane Roberts and the entity or personality that she channeled for over 21 years, Seth, in the early 80’s when I picked up her (their?) first book, Seth Speaks. Even back then in my mid 20’s, Seth Speaks wasn’t so much presenting revolutionary new information or ideas to me as it was organizing it; putting form to my thoughts and feelings. As my friend Frank DeMarco’s “Guys Upstairs” say, it resonated.

If you want to change the world for the better, then you are an idealist. If you want to change the world for the better, but you believe it cannot be changed one whit, then you are a pessimist, and your idealism will only haunt you. If you want to change the world for the better, but you believe that it will grow worse, despite everyone’s efforts, then you are a truly despondent, perhaps misguided idealist. If you want to change the world for the better, and if you are determined to do so, no matter at what cost to yourself or others, no matter what the risk, and if you believe that those ends justify any means at your disposal, then you are a fanatic.
Good news on the Bone Creek fire as of yesterday.

The Bone Creek Fire was started by lightning on Monday, August 13, 2007. Active fire suppression began at once and crews continue to fight the fire. Firefighters have worked day shift only due to the safety concerns associated with the steep and rugged terrain found in Shell Canyon.
Firefighters engage the fire at points where it is safe to deploy crews. Their numbers fluctuate on the fire dependant upon the weather and burning conditions. In early September there were close to 250 firefighters engaged in the suppression effort. Due to recent moisture and cooler temperatures there are now only about 50 firefighters on the line.
The fire is presently 13,450 acres and is 95% contained. No structures or improvements are threatened by the fire. All designated forest roads are open to public access. You can expect to see smoke from the Bone Creek fire until there is sufficient snowfall to effectively put out the fire.

Greybull, WY (Sunday, September 16, 2007) – The Bone Creek fire was turned back to the Bighorn National Forest this morning after firefighters gained 95% containment on Saturday, September 15, 2007.
The fire will continue to be suppressed until it is declared out. A Type III team will manage the suppression effort. The public can expect to see smoke, helicopter water bucket drops and firefighters on the line until a season ending weather event puts out the fire.
All designated forest roads in the area are open to the public use. Please follow the forests off road travel regulations.
The Rocky Mountain Incident Management Team would like to thank the communities of Bighorn County for helping to make our firefighting effort both productive and cost effective.
Big thanks to all those working – and who have worked – the fire.
