These were shot with my Nikon D200 DSLR with an 18-200mm Nikon zoom lens. While on this trip I noticed that all of the images I was taking were “off.” Luckily I could delete the image and take another (working around the problems) once I noticed, and I could override and manually focus. It wasn’t until I got back home that I realized that somehow the metering and focus settings were both on “spot” instead of matrix. I can’t believe I didn’t notice that when I was trying to figure out what was going on. The result was that I had to tweak nearly everything in Photoshop. Now, I check all settings before going out, and then check them regularly while I’m out. I’m now focus/metering OCD. Is there a support group for that?
