Articles from: March 2008The Path has new clothes againWell I couldn’t resist, I changed themes again. This one though I’ve put quite a bit of time into customizing. I started with a theme created by Sadish Balasubramanian called Seashore, which as you can see from the image at left, was basically cool grays (click to enlarge). I’ve always been drawn to the color combination that you see here and since I wanted to make a change, this seemed to be the perfect time to dive into CSS editing and to come up with exactly what I wanted. Over the next few weeks, the colors may change some as I refine things. Let me know what you think. I’m always open to comments, positive, negative or neutral. I’ll be putting one of my own photos in as a header shortly.
Gallup’s first world pollI get the Schwartz Report emailed to me daily and always find it interesting and enlightening, but the one that arrived tonight covers only one news story: The first ever World Poll by Gallup. Gallup has committed to conducting the World Poll for 100 years and I think you will find quite a bit of what is revealed in this article to be quite interesting. I know I did. If you read only one thing today, this should be it.
Our life as a tapestryYou might want to go to the bathroom and perhaps get a snack and/or a beverage as this post is quite a bit longer than normal for me. Some fifteen years ago, or so, I had a very vivid dream in which I was shown a tapestry and told that this visually represented the complete record of my current life, and that everything I thought, said, and did was recorded or woven into that tapestry. The “Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.” Other dreams and experiences followed and each added additional detail and expanded the analogy of our life as a tapestry.
The other night, during a journey to my Sacred Garden, one of my guides showed up and took me much deeper into the concept of our life as a tapestry. This rugged yet gentle ancestor shows up quite often when I am performing healing ceremonies and has a very strong, no-nonsense way about him.
